Думаю, что ей фото тоже бы понравилось.
Mr. Anikin Sergey :I would ask you to explain to me why in your opinion this snapshot is so weak. It's not the only time you punctuate me with "so-so" and I guess I'm not the "only victim". I notice you don't have many "+++". Unfortunately, neither the translation from lb. Russian in English doesn't work very well, I can't see all the comments, I don't even have time to translate, but I notice that you explain a lot - I don't know what ... but I'm not very curious to find out either. Because it is a serious site of photographic criticism, I don't think it is beneficial to discern the photos without discernment, but if you do, verbally justify your opinion on strictly photographic criteria: composition, visual impact, emotional impact, chromatic, "the story behind the photo" . I didn't see all your photos, but from what I saw, I got an idea: they are trivial. Technically they are good but "I don't say anything"; they are simple reproductions, family pictures ". You have every right to post them, but do not rate the work of others. You do not like the photo, do not score it, it is more honest; but if you rate it, argue your opinion. Thank you!
It's a street snapshot. I was struck by the expression on my face and the position of her glasses. I don't think it made sense to photoshop the image - anyway, I'm not a photoshop fan. I believe that in photography reality should not be distorted, especially in the case of a street snapshot. I paid attention to the composition. Maybe I shouldn't have "cut her hands", I know the rules of photocomposition - but the photo is taken on the fly. If I stopped for the character to look at me and "lose" the expression of the face, I would lose the moment ... I know how to make both abstract and landscape, I know how to make my own compositions, but from this kind of images, snapshots , you can't have pretensions of elaborate, complex compositions ... When you judge a photo, you have to think and in what conditions it is made ... If you compose it, then yes, you can be criticized - in the good sense - for example . the light is not good ... There are cases in which e.g. you can't "physically remove" a tree or another element that spoils the composition ... If it's not extraordinarily difficult, for sure, the PS solves the problem, it's perfectly acceptable! but personally I think that the message that an image conveys is essential.
Jon Anderson - Yes: "Our artistic belief is to make people think, not run after idols, be they Beatles or Bob Dylan."
:) But it's a snapshot! That's the character, how do I change it? It is not mandatory that all photos be directed! Then ... we eliminate photojournalism from photography!
